A Spell to Promote Joy
Sometimes the feeling of health and well being can be carried by feelings of happiness and joy.
There is a focus on preparing the altar before the spell. Before doing this spell close your eyes and breath deeply, visualize a powerful white light that fills up the room and your body.
This is basically the joy that you need to feel. After a few minutes, you will feel all tension goes out of your body.
This pure energy light needs to be a visual of the happiness and joy that you need to enter your life. The orange and yellow candles are needed for this spell to work. Remember that you need to correctly select the candles, ideally, these candles need to be made of beeswax.
In magic the timing is important. The joy spell is best on a Sunday as this represents the day of peace and quiet. Choosing the position of the altar is also important.
West is the best position. The west is associated with the elements of water and shows that this "energy" will flow into your life. The west is associated with purity, love and flow in life.
The correct position in the spell of happiness and joy will equal success. In Native Indian traditions, they often chose the west as an association with the magical journey of joy.
In a time of struggles, stress or general unhappiness it can be seemingly difficult to maintain your normal level of joy. The use of this spell will help you invoke the joy back into your life.
You will need
- Cedar oil
- 3 bright orange or yellow candles
- A vase of daises
Anoint the candles with the cedar oil and arrange in a triangle pattern around the vase of daisies. The flowers should be in a short vase so that you can see the tops of your candles and you have an unobstructed view of all three flames.
Now meditate on the flames. Notice the way the flames flicker and dance as if they have not a care in the world.
Think about things in your life that you are usually joyful about. When you are ready, chant the following three times: “joy, happiness, and love, fill my life from above.”
Allow the candles to burn all the way down.
